Improving reading, writing and maths for
all Tasmanian adults.

26Ten is a network of organisations and individuals working together to improve adult literacy and numeracy in Tasmania. Better literacy and numeracy mean a better Tasmania for all. Our name comes from the 26 letters of the alphabet, and the ten digits we use for counting.

individuals and organisations have taken action and joined the 26Ten Network.

Over 1300 volunteers

have completed training to tutor our adult learners in reading, writing and maths.

26Ten has an ambitious ten-year strategy to improve adult literacy and numeracy in Tasmania.

We want a state where everyone:
  • communicates clearly
  • knows about adult literacy and numeracy
  • is supported to improve their skills and to help others.
