The 26TEN team is still at work and here to answer questions about our services. You can contact us at email@26ten.tas.gov.au
We've collated a list of ways we can keep building skills while keeping our distance - see it in our Resources section: 26ten.tas.gov.au/resources/Pages/KeepLearningandSocialDistancing.aspx
The 26TEN helpline is still operating
26TEN’s helpline, 1300 00 2610 is still being answered by our trained educators. We encourage you to take that first step.
Libraries Tasmania Literacy Service
While all Libraries Tasmania sites are temporarily closed to the public until further notice, anyone interested in getting help with reading, writing or maths can still talk to a literacy coordinator. They can provide information and help people be prepared when normal services start again. Call 1300 00 2610 or email:
email@26ten.tas.gov.au.
Current literacy students and volunteers
Literacy coordinators are contacting their students and making arrangements for this period.
26TEN Grants
Current grants
As Tasmania's response to the COVID-19 virus unfolds, we will be as supportive and flexible as possible. We know that communities and organisations may have problems running activities and meeting deadlines. We hope you will be able to finish your project at some stage.
We would welcome hearing from you, especially if there is anything we can do to support you. Otherwise we will contact you later when, hopefully, the shape of the remainder of 2020 is clearer.
Current grant applications
The selection process for the 2019-20 grants is underway and we will complete it. Notice of the outcome may be delayed while the Tasmanian Government focuses on managing the impact of the COVID-19 virus.
