Professional development for literacy practitioners
There are two elements to professional development in 2015:
- the Year of Numeracy for Adult Literacy Practitioners, and
- Australian Core Skills Framework (Framework) Validation and Moderation sessions.

2015 Year of Numeracy for Adult Literacy Practitioners
The linchpin of this program is Dave Tout, an Australian expert on teaching numeracy to adults. He launched the Year of Numeracy on 24 March 2015, in Hobart.
He returned April and September to give workshops in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.

Statewide ACSF Validation and Moderation Sessions
Sessions are held every six weeks. They are for anyone using the Australian Core Skills Framework to assess learners, whether you are an experienced practitioner or just getting started.
It is a friendly, relaxed place to build skills in using the Framework.
